Investment Operations Supervisor

Job Objectives:

• To ensure the overall management and accountability for maintaining processing service levels and Advisor satisfaction
• To ensure continuous improvement with efficiencies within the Operations Team including Trade Support, Advisor Support, Private Wealth and Daily Processing
• To train, monitor and lead a team of administrators in the department and deal with escalated issues from clients, Advisors and fund companies

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring the activities of staff members for accuracy and completeness
• Implementing department procedures and company policies
• Resolving issues at an escalated level involving representatives, fund companies and the development of departmental procedures to accommodate changing business and regulatory requirements
• Ensuring all departmental responsibilities are completed accurately and within the deadlines and the published SLA’s both internal and external
• Identify service gaps and develop action plans to implement services
• Tracking personal and vacation days for all departmental staff
• Ensuring that there is an adequate departmental coverage at all times
• Cultivating collaborative relationships with internal partners such as Counsel, Client Services, Credit and Compliance
• Liaison with external Service Providers which support Private Wealth
• Preparation of Reporting as established for areas of responsibility

Skills and Knowledge:

• Must have a solid understanding of technology and how it applies in the business process as it relates to the functioning of MFDA Operations
• Must be able to assimilate operational requirements into business specifications for technology
• Must be able to make independent decisions taking into account regulatory requirements when answering processing related inquiries, and defer to HO Compliance or Manager as required
• Excellent relationship management and decision making skills
• Proven experience in developing strategic and operational plans
• Excellent leadership and strong performance management skills
